Watts Introduces ASSE 1017 Approved Master Tempering Valve Series

Watts Introduces ASSE 1017 Approved Master Tempering Valve Series

Series N170-M3, the next generation of master tempering valves for hot water distribution

Watts is pleased to introduce the Series N170-M3, the next generation of master tempering valves for hot water distribution in commercial and institutional facilities.

The new N170-M3, which includes five valves (¾", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2" and 2"), is listed to ASSE 1017 and replaces the current Series N170-M2. The N170-M3 has also earned CSA B125.3 compliance through IAPMO and carries the cUPC seal.

Although the N170-M3 has been re-engineered inside and out, it maintains the exact roughing-in dimensions of its' Series M2 predecessor, making direct replacement trouble-free. The Series M3 is also offered with checkstops (with filters) for new installations.

Other performance enhancements include greater control range of 90 - 180oF (32 - 82oC) eliminating the need low and high temperature models. The M3 features a 5 F (3oC) approach temperature, which is ideal for applications where low temperature hot water is delivered to the end-use fixtures.

The M3's paraffin thermostat provides superior low flow control, as low as 3 gpm (11 L/min), for applications where minimum flow performance is critical.
