| Seal-It's Shrink Labels For AgroLabs Made From PLA Film | |

Seal-It, a division of Printpack, Inc. has produced its first commercial full sleeve shrink labels made from Earthfirst® PLA film. The goal for AgroLabs was to take its' bottle out of the box, produce dazzling labels that contain all the information that was previously on the box and also have "POP" appeal. Four shrink labels were converted and printed for AgroLabs "Naturally" line of nutritional supplements, Naturally Pomegranate, Naturally Noni, Naturally Thai Mangosteen and Cranberry. PLA was the substrate of choice primarily because AgroLabs was looking for source reduction and more sustainable packaging for its club store customers. Seal-It prints these labels rotogravure in 8-9 colors in 2 mil PLA. The shrink labels have 360-degree image area, which provided room for fabulous graphics that pictured the contents of the supplement, information pertaining to the ingredients, nutritional information and a bar code. The PLA film is compostable and has an extraordinary shrink factor, so it will shrink to the contours of the glass bottle. providing a high gloss, premium look that meets the customer's need for an environmentally friendly package. Seal-It print up to 10 colors in a choice of rotogravure or flexographic.
