The product range includes open die forgings in carbon and alloy grades, plus special stainless steels. Typical forged products are spindles, con rods, bosses, blocks, rings and cylinders, as well as bespoke forgings to a customer's unique specification. A recent enquiry from a manufacture of aircraft landing gear posed the challenge of reducing raw material costs by 30%. With the requirement being for a super stainless grade, this represented a huge saving in cash terms for the customer.
