TempTabs are an easy, cost effective method to monitor process temperatures and temperature uniformity in furnaces without the use of wires or electronics. TempTabs are made from materials that exhibit controlled shrinkage over time. They measure the effect of temperature and time at temperature. TempTabs are currently available in two different temperature ranges: TempTab 300 can be used in the temperature range of 800-1150°C (1460-2100°F). TempTab 600 can be used in the temperature range of 1100-1300°C (2010-2370°F). ATempTabs are formulated from materials that shrink at a controlled rate over a range of temperatures. The shrinkage has been correlated to firing schedules of 10, 30, 60, 120 and 240 minute cycles.
