Met de komst van watergedragen verven, lakken, lijmen en inkten ontstaat bij het reinigen van o.a. gereedschappen en apparatuur een afvalstroom van vervuild spoelwater. Dit spoelwater wordt beoordeeld als chemisch afval en mag niet op het riool worden geloosd.
Vec introduceerde om die reden al in 1995 de europees gepatenteerde AS200 spoelwater-recyclinginstallatie.
Verder is VEC specialist in verfapplicatieapparatuur en assemblagewagens.
