To help prevent accidents when reversing large vehicles, Backstop automatically applies the brakes when the sensing ONLY OPERATES IN REVERSE GEAR.
The system becomes active as soon as reverse gear is selected.

Once the sensor has been activated, the brakes stay locked on until reverse gear is de-selected.
