Ground Investigation Specialists Ltd (G.I.S.), established in 2000 is a small independent company whose founder, Howard Lister, is a geotechnical advisor with more than 25 years experience. Geotechnical & geoenvironmental investigations are undertaken throughout mainland Britain by a small team consisting of engineering geologists & contaminated land specialists. Together G.I.S. has worked for engineering practices & corporate companies within both the private & public sector (including local authorities). The aim of the company is to provide a personal, reliable & high quality cost effective service, which is on time & and on budget. This proven formula enables G.I.S. to provide the complete service - from phase 1 desk studies, site investigation testing & monitoring to design & validation. Ground surveys can be carried out to determine both the physical & contamination aspects of a site prior to purchase and/or redevelopment.
